Golden Ceiba is a gold exploration and mining company constituted in Equatorial Guinea and run from Malabo. We came to build one thing: a gold producer that proves its ground before it builds, recovers gold without mercury and keeps records any refiner can audit.
Done that way, gold mining is a business the State, the communities, our partners and we can all grow with.
Our approach
Sample. Prove. Build. Scale.
We intend to invest significant capital in Equatorial Guinea, in stages: a mechanised operation built in phases, the ground proven first, a first excavator-fed plant, then modular growth, each stage paid for by the proof before it.
Sample
Authorised ground access, agreements with the landholders, gridded pits and a mobile bulk-sampling unit that processes the material of every pit.
Prove
An agreed average grade over a defined volume is the go/no-go gate. Decisions are made on data, not optimism. Results are shared with the authorities.
Build
A first mechanised plant, fed by excavators, and the earthmoving fleet are ordered only after the gate passes. A local crew is hired and trained before the first machine arrives.
Scale
Each proven stage earns the capital for the next. The plant grows in modules toward a fully mechanised, industrial-scale operation — excavators and trucks, no blasting in the early phases — and operating cash flow is reinvested in the country, developing adjacent proven ground with the same discipline each time.

Golden Ceiba is an Equatorial Guinean company. We arrived in Malabo at the end of September 2026 and are here to stay: the Chief Executive and the Head of Operations live in the city today and will live at the site once the operation starts.
We will be working with Equatorial Guinean geologists, lawyers and local crews — and with the ministry openly and in person.
We work within the framework the State sets — a prospecting contract before any sampling, written agreements with villages and landholders before the first pit, results reported to the ministry, the State’s share paid as the law provides — and we help where we can.
Responsibility
Everything we do has to survive a refiner’s audit.
Our priorities are simple: produce gold, do it sustainably, and leave the communities and the land better than we found them. Responsible practice is not a programme beside the business. It is the business: it is what makes the gold saleable, any authorisation we hold durable and the community a partner.
Environment
Gravity recovery only. No mercury, no cyanide, by design and not by preference.

- An environmental expert, chosen or approved by the ministry as the law provides, will guide the study and the way we work.
Community
Giving back is part of the plan, not an afterthought. Nothing on anyone’s land without their agreement, in writing, and compensation settled first.

Founder and sole manager of the company. Sets the strategy, allocates the capital, and leads the relationship with the authorities and partners. Works alongside the Head of Operations on the ground, in Malabo and at the site.
Patrick Koltermann
Head of Operations
Runs the ground programme: the mine site, the plant and machines, the crew and logistics. Resident in Malabo since October 2026, and at the site once the operation begins.
